A very good 19th century parayer book with an interesting provenance. ** "St Christopher le Stocks was a parish church on the south side of Threadneedle Street in the Broad Street Ward of the City of London. Of Medieval origin, it was rebuilt following the Great Fire of London in 1666, but demolished to make way for an extension of the neighbouring Bank of England. The parish was united with that of St Margaret Lothbury in 1781, and the church pulled down the next year. In 1839 Saint Bartholomew by the Exchange was added when its church was also demolished.
